Free Scrap Car Collection

Got a car, van or motorbike at the end of its life sitting on your driveway? We collect them free of charge across Weston-super-Mare and North Somerset and dispose of them through the proper end-of-life vehicle route.

What we collect

• End-of-life cars (MOT failure, written off, mechanically dead, rusted)
• Vans and pickups in similar condition
• Motorbikes, scooters and mopeds
• Caravans and trailers
• Cars with no MOT, no road tax, no keys (just makes the paperwork slightly different)
• Cars that have been sitting unused for years

How it works

1. Ring us with the make, model, year, location and condition.
2. We confirm we can take it and agree a collection time.
3. We collect it (no need for you to be present if access is easy and keys are left).
4. The vehicle goes to an Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF) for proper end-of-life processing.
5. You receive a Certificate of Destruction (CoD) from the DVLA confirming the vehicle is off your name.

Why “free”?

End-of-life vehicles have residual scrap value. That value covers the cost of collection, so for most cars we don’t need to charge. For vehicles with very little metal left (heavily stripped), or where access is genuinely difficult (vehicle stuck off-road, miles of dirt track), we might need to discuss it, but for normal driveway collections the service is free.

The paperwork

You will need:

• The V5C logbook if you have it (we sort the DVLA notification)
• If you don’t have the V5C, that’s fine, we just complete the SORN paperwork differently
• The keys if you still have them (helps but not essential)
• Confirmation that you’re the registered keeper or have permission to scrap on their behalf

You’ll get a Certificate of Destruction from the DVLA confirming the car is officially off your name and can’t come back to haunt you with parking fines or speeding tickets later. This is the bit a lot of “I’ll scrap your car” Facebook adverts skip.

What we don’t take

• Vehicles you don’t legally own or aren’t entitled to scrap
• Vehicles still under finance (you’ll need to settle that first)
• Vehicles that are actually saleable for parts at a profit (we’ll tell you if we think yours falls into this and point you elsewhere)
