Moving house should not be the most stressful day of your year. We’ve been doing home removals out of Weston-super-Mare for over two decades, and the simple bits make all the difference: turn up on time, keep you in the loop, handle your things like they’re ours, and stick to the price we quoted.
What we move
Whatever the size, we’ve probably done one like it this month:
- Studios, bedsits and single rooms – quick local moves, often a couple of hours.
- One and two-bed flats – including tricky access, lifts, narrow staircases and yellow-line parking.
- Three and four-bed houses – full family moves with multiple trips or a single big load.
- Bungalows, park homes and lodges – comfortable around tight access and low-roofed entrances.
- HMOs and shared houses – single-room moves out of shared properties.
How we price a removal
Every move is different. We work out the cost based on three things: how much you’ve got, how easy access is at both ends, and how far apart the two addresses are. The more detail you can give us when you ring, the more accurate the quote.
What we never do is throw a vague figure at you and then load surprise charges on the day. The quoted price is the price.
The day itself
We arrive in a clean long-wheelbase high-top van (one of the biggest sizes available without going to a 7.5 tonne truck), uniformed and with everything we need:
- Sack trucks, furniture trolleys and skates for heavy items
- Removal blankets, straps and corner protectors
- Tool kit for dismantling and reassembling beds, wardrobes and tables
- Floor protection if needed for laminate or carpets
We’ll walk through both properties with you, agree the order of work, then crack on. Most local moves are wrapped up the same day, even if there’s a gap between completion times.
Packing help
Most customers prefer to pack their own things and we’re fine with that. If you want a hand, we can supply boxes, tape, bubble wrap and our team to help pack. Tell us when you book and we’ll add it to the quote. We also sometimes have free pre-loved boxes if the timing works out.
Where we move to
We’re based in Weston-super-Mare, so North Somerset and Bristol moves are our bread and butter. We also do longer runs anywhere in the UK – Manchester, London, Devon, Wales, Scotland, all done. Prices stay reasonable as long as one end of the move is local to us.
