If you’re clearing timber that’s still got useful life left in it – sound fence panels, old decking, scaffold boards, pallets, beams from a renovation – we offer discounted clearance. Wood that can be re-used or upcycled has value to us, so we pass that saving on.
What we class as reusable
- Pallets. Sound, dry, standard sizes especially.
- Scaffold boards. Used boards are popular for upcycling projects.
- Decking. Boards that are sound and not rotten.
- Fence panels. Whole panels that are intact, even if weathered.
- Floorboards. Particularly older boards lifted during renovations.
- Beams, joists and timber framing. Old building timber is in demand.
- Doors and door frames. Solid wood, original Victorian or Edwardian especially.
What doesn’t qualify
- Rotten or woodworm-damaged timber
- Painted or treated wood that can’t be safely re-finished
- MDF, chipboard, OSB and most flat-pack remains (these go to general waste)
- Burnt or fire-damaged wood
How the discount works
Pricing for waste clearance is normally on volume. For loads that are largely reusable timber, we knock a chunk off the standard rate – exactly how much depends on the wood, its condition, and the size of the load. Send us a photo and we’ll quote.
Where it goes
Reusable timber is passed on to upcyclers, woodworkers and re-use schemes. Anything that’s genuinely past its useful life goes through our normal licensed waste route, with as much as possible going to wood recycling rather than general waste.
